Madeira - Jardim do Mar - Lighthouse - Funchall | twoplustwocrew

We were staying at the ultra modern Saccharum hotel in Calheta Madeira and exploring the island.



Trip out today to the beautiful little seaside village of Jardim do mar then on to the Ponta do Pargo lighthouse, stunning views and the working lighthouse is open to the public explore, thanks to the keeper who showed us round including a tour to the top to see the fantastic brass and crystal light. Tried to head from there to do another Levada walk but ended up in Funchal so had an explore there instead... Andrew found food and Sam found Zara!

SACCHARUM HOTEL CALHETA MADEIRA - GOPRO TOUR | twoplustwocrew

Our tour of the Saccharum Hotel Resort & Spa in Calheta Madeira. This new hotel is pretty designer cool, lots of moody lighting, use different textures and industrial decor from the old sugarcane(saccharum) factory that was on this site. We travelled without the kids as they were both off skiing with school but we'de love to bring them back here, Lots of facilities, 5 pools, spa etc and it's own sheltered little beach.It's about 45 mins from Funchal so really need a car but if you want to explore. We did some fantastic walks and had fun exploring the specatacular coastal scenery. Cardiff Museum Wales | twoplustwocrew

Great afternoon out with Tabitha at the National Museum in Cardiff, Free entry and loads to see and considering it was a half term weekend not to busy. Spotted a Kiwi and various well displayed creepy crawlies as well as a massive basking shark. Parking was only £1.70 on the street for a couple of hours so a great easy afternoon out!

First of our weekend in sunny (not) Cardiff Wales vlogs. 
Bit of early morning birdwatching down on the front at Cardiff Bay then Sam and Oscar went running to John Lewis for cake and shopping!! If you haven't visited Cardiff seems like a great little city great waterfront area loads to do and close to the beaches surf, mountain biking and outdoors Wales has to offer.... definately coming back when the sun is out!

Had a lovely weekend visiting friends on the coast in Plymouth, Devon, UK. Tabitha and Oscar enjoyed a special outing with their Daddy - Andrew while I had some quality time with my friend who's expecting a baby!

SKI GEAR IN JUST CABIN LUGGAGE | twoplustwocrew

Managed to fit all our ski holiday gear in our carry on cases.... we did have to had to wear some of it on the plane, had to take the snow boots off half way through the flight but we did it! a ski holiday without paying for hold luggage. It was an amazing winter holiday in Beitostolen Norway, superb resort for new skiers and families. As well as the skiing we tried ice fishing, airboarding, had a fantastic evening meal fireside in a tepee and the kids had a go on the snowmobiles! Check out our you tube channel for all our vlogs.

36 on the Quay Restaurant Emsworth.... Date Night!

Date night at 36 on the Quay Restaurant with rooms, Emsworth on the south coast. We had the weekend off! Aunty had offered to have the kids so Sam and I made the most of a great groupon offer (love the bargains) and booked a night and dinner at 36 on the quay. It's a restaurant (as the name suggests right by the Quay) with rooms upstairs and cottages across the road. We stayed in the cosy Cardamon cottage (38) it's all set up for self catering but we only used the coffee facilities... ohh and the wine glasses and bottle opener! Our deal included the 5 course taster menu, the warm bread was devine and as always we had to stop ourselves filling up on that before the "real" food came along. Beef course was our favourite! 

If you haven't visited Emsworth it's a great litlle spot for a weekend away, easy coastal walks and some nice shops, pubs and cafes to wander round. Farmers market on the Sunday....pies were great! 

Nice walk along the coastline topped off with a few glasses of wine and a 5 course tasting menu.... not a bad way to spend a day! 



The cafe in the vlog was Driftwood and all the shops we visited are just along the high street minutes walk from the cottage. As is the bakery

FUERTEVENTURA - OASIS PARK - OVER 3000 ANIMALS! | twoplustwocrew

AFTERNOON AT OASIS PARK ZOO - FUERTEVENTURA HOLIDAY
We spent a great day at Oasis Park in the south of Fuerteventura. They have over 3000 animals and 250 different species. It is way more than a zoo as it has the only Botanical Garden in Fuerteventura. They are famous for their special attractions and experiences. We saw the best sea lion show ever! and Oscar loved the birds of prey show and managed to some great shots for his bird photography portfolio. Great thing with this place is that you can buy food and actually feed many of the animals. The giraffe and camels were super friendly and Tabitha had several animals try to eat her hat!. You can even swim with the sea lions and go on a camel safari(extra cost)...what ever floats your boat or elephant! We highly recommend visiting but be warned you will need a full day to make sure you try and see everything we only came for the afternoon and were literally running at stages. We noticed they did a deal to return for a second day for €15 each which I think would be worth utilising if you weren't due to fly out in 4hrs time. We had fabulous ice cream sundaes at the end of our visit and thought the food prices very reasonable. We liked this place a lot as it was really well maintained and the animals seemed really happy! A real surprise find for us and the place deserves it's great reviews.

FUERTEVENTURA - OFF ROAD DUNE BUGGY ADVENTURE - Day 3 | twoplustwocrew

Yeeeehaa dune buggy action on our Fuerteventura holiday, this was a great outing. Spent 4 hours mostly off road blasting about, lots of stunning scenery and Tabitha got to feed the cute chipmunks some sunflower seeds (think they are actually a type of squirrel) highlight for her as she had 3 of them eating from her hand at once.  Buggies were really easy to drive automatics so you just point them in the direction you want to go step on the accelerator and hold on.

It did get pretty dusty and a little muddy out there so leave your Gucci at the hotel and pack your bandanas and sunglasses instead. Fuerteventura Holiday Vlog Day 1

Half term holidays... 28 degrees here we come. First of our holiday vlogs, 10 days in hopefully sunny Fuerteventura staying at Origo Mare on the north shore of the island. Surfboard, sunscreen and shorts  packed then the usual dash up to gatwick for the 4hr flight. Hiring a car and looking forward to some adventures and  seeing some of the island, already have dune buggy, waterpark and snorkelling trips booked as well as hopefully sneaking in some restaurants & museums to tick all the holiday boxes.

RAF MUSEUM LONDON - DAY OUT | twoplustwocrew

We had a great day out at the RAF museum in Hendon London, this place is off the usual London museum route but well worth the effort. It's massive! and free. We were there from 10-4 and there was still more to see. It's not just RAF fighters, there are a few simulator rides (you do have to pay for these) and some planes you can get in and walk through. We were worried that there would be enough to keep Tabitha our 9 year old interested but she was fine there were enough interactive activities to keep her involved. We all found the old movies interesting and informative, it felt like we were on a day out but doing a little sneaky homework at the same time.  Oscar 12 is pretty keen on anything that flies, if it has machine guns even better! So he was in his element having flown lots of theses planes on his flight simulator. The cafe in the main hangar is great you get to eat lunch surrounded by some great old planes, you can relax over a latte while the kids explore close by. Plenty of area outside to have a picnic if you are saving pennies!. Car parking onsite was £4.00 for 6 hrs but there were some parks on the street when we first arrived. We visited on a Sunday and wSam thought the gift shop was really good quality gifts and not too expensive, loved the kids romper suits 100% thick cotton with a lovely designer plane print for £12.99 (sorry forgot to take a pic!) If you are looking for a great day out in the London area this place is definitely worth a look.

FANTASTIC BURGERS & ICE CREAM ! CANNES vlog 6| twoplustwocrew family vloggers

More summer holiday fun in Cannes. Kids had the choice of where to have lunch one day .... surprisingly (not) they choose burgers and ice cream! So we had our first steak n shake. It's an American burger chain in France. The intricacies of French cuisine did't seem to interest the little sprouts.  To be fair the Burgers were actually really good and the oreo milkshake was pretty much a meal in itself, everyone struggled to suck it up through the straws . There was a big glass window so you can get your taste buds going as you watch your burger being prepped and at the same time get in the way of the waiting staff! Seats were mostly taken so we wondered across the street to the fountain and people watched as we had our lunch. As we all know there is always room for ice cream so we headed over to an ice cream & sorbet shop we had spotted on the walk down. This place is amazing (Amorino) you pick the ice cream or sorbets you want and they turn it in to a piece of floral ice cream art! Wasn't cheap but actually tasted of what it was supposed to, lemon and mango were magic on a hot day.  Watch our vlog below and if your in Cannes with the kids the steak n shake Amorino combo highly recommended to keep the juniors happy. FRENCH SWEET FACTORY WILLY WONKA FUN | twoplustwocrew

Day out on our family summer holiday to the south France. We had a fantastic day visiting Florian the french Confiserie where they handmade all their exquisite sweets, chocolates, jams and candied fruits.

Founded in 1949, the Confiserie Florian in the Gorges du Loup sits in a breathtaking setting along the banks of the Loup river, in the lower hills of Grasse. It's approx 1 hour drive from central Cannes and in the same Gorge there is a canyoning/caving tour company if you want to mix it up and do a bit of adrenalin with your sugar fix! The flowers of roses, jasmine, and violets from the Grasse region are crystallized and made into delectable treats and clementines, pears and tangerines are candied. Yummy!!!  The free tour of their factory workshops is fantastic. You can see all their produce being made and then you can taste EVERYTHING in their showroom. It was like being in Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Oscar and Tabitha were transfixed and certainly tried their fair share of treats! We highly recommend this for a day out with your kids!

FIREWORKS FESTIVAL DAY CANNES | twoplustwocrew

Next of our French summer holiday vlogs.... Was 34 degrees in Cannes so we grabbed the swimming gear and headed to the beach. Pretty busy, but water was lovely, refreshing but not cold! Walked back along the main beachfront road past the hotels and casinos, great for supercar spotting, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Pagani all just parked up on the street! Some had very questionable paint jobs.. chrome blue lambo, gold and blue rolls anyone? awesome to see and touch better than a car show. While we were swimming we noticed crew setting up the barges for the evenings fireworks show so we popped back later that evening. It was packed and humming along the front people everywhere, Tabitha got grabbed to do some street dancing by a (very good) busker...she wasn't keen but hats off she did it! Managed to find a spot on the beach. 3 of us ended up standing on a concrete beach shower area to get a better view, fine until some nut decided to wash his hair! Fireworks were amazing, it is a competition held every year LE FESTIVAL D'ART PYROTECHNIQUE CANNES different countries compete and the public votes. It was pyro-tech the english entry, amazing 20-30 mins of fireworks set to music playing off the barges in the bay. Beautiful backdrop of twinkling lights provided curtesy of the super yachts anchored up in the bay.... bling bling!

SWIMMING IN CANNES SOUTH OF FRANCE | twoplustwocrew

Summer holiday Cannes south of France. after a long haul overnight drive down from Cherbourg we found the apartment at 4am. Laid back morning for us all as we needed a a bit of down time. This is the Lux part of the trip after this it's camping in our bargain £12.00 asda tents! Andrew went hunting and gathering, became a little obsessed about rotisserie chicken and rose... at 10am. Later on we took a drive to find a nice spot to swim (the main beaches were packed!) Found a lovely calanque about 30 mins south of Cannes, the coast road D6098 that runs along the cliffs is worth the drive, great scenery looking out over the French riviera . We found a car park on the side of the road clambered down a track and found a beautiful spot on the rocks. Little bit of Middle eastern dance music provided courtesy of the super yacht moored just of the beach.
